Robotics Rookies: Explore, Create, Innovate!

This program, completely free of charge, organized by Women Excel in STEM in partnership with Tech Academy, aims to empower young girls aged 12-18 by introducing them to the world of robotics through a series of hands-on workshops. Led by professional Robotics Engineer Adam from Tech Academy, participants will learn the fundamentals of robotics, programming, and automation while cultivating creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

WeSTEM+, in partnership with Tech Academy, is organizing “Robotics Rookies: Explore, Create, Innovate!” for young girls aged 12-18. Led by professional Robotics Engineer Adam from Tech Academy, this program offers an immersive learning experience through a series of 5-month free of charge interactive workshops. Participants will explore the fundamentals of robotics, collaborate on projects, and develop technical skills using advanced robotics equipment. Each session of the workshops will be limited to 10-15 participants to ensure personalized guidance. This program aims to empower young minds by showcasing the endless possibilities of STEM education and fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Roles of Young People
Young participants will engage actively in the application process, including interviews and selection, preparing for their roles in the program. They will also participate in a preparatory session to familiarize themselves with the program structure and objectives.
Impact on Participants
Throughout the training, participants will engage in dynamic and interactive sessions, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on activities. Classroom activities will include:
- Interactive Discussions: Facilitated to deepen understanding.
- Practical Demonstrations: Showcasing real-world applications.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving Exercises: Applying theoretical knowledge to practical challenges.
Participants will work on individual and group projects, designing and programming robotic systems while developing creative solutions to industrial challenges.

Program Timeline
Sessions will be scheduled every Saturday for 1.5 hours each. The opening and closing ceremonies will take 3h each. The schedule will be confirmed with all students once the class starts, thus there might be some slight changes in the timeline.

Program Visits
